I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.
1. Adele- "Rolling In The Deep"
Even though many others have covered this amazing song. No one sings it like Adele.
2. The Beatles- "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
George Harrison was studying ancient Chinese text and decided to take its advice – he picked up a random book, saw the words “gently weeps” and started writing. It’s been covered by just about everyone, and Harrison performed it solo after The Beatles broke up, but the original recording is the best one.
3. Malcome McClaren- "Deep In Vogue"
He actually brought Voguing to the attention of the world long before Madoona did. From his 1989 album Waltz Darling.
4. Ice House- No Promises
I first heard this song at The Legendary Starck Club in the late 80's. It's a smooth song that I still love and brings back so many wonderful memories.
5. Abba- "The Visitors"
One of my favorites that didn't get much play on the radio but was a Club Hit back in the day.
6. Jeffrey Osborn and LTD- "Back In Love Again"
A Classic Old School Jam of mine. Also good to listen to while cleaning the house.
7. Barbra Streisand- "Somewhere"
The Broadway Album. However, I prefer the live version from her One Voice Concert. Simply beautiful.
8. Mary J Blige-"My Life"
This was the first song I'd ever heard from Mary and still one of my favorites.
9. Dolly Parton- "Jolene"
" Im beging you please don't take my man Jolene!"
10. Lady Gaga- "Judas"
I love all things Gaga!
If you are not familiar with some of the songs on my list then youtube it and enjoy. What are some of your favorite songs? I would love to hear what you are listening to as well.
