During several recent shopping trips this month I discovered expert staging services that can save you money. 1.) Does a DIYer know what they are doing?? I recently ran into a realtor on a shopping trip, wanting to update the look and feel of a patio. On her trip, she didn't realize that the fabric she thought she wanted to cover up those old expensive Pottery Barn pillows, actually required more fabric, because that "Sale Fabric" had a pattern repeat that needed to be matched. As an expert stager, and seamstress, I was able to help her find other fabrics that were more functional, beautiful, and less costly. And she wasn't even a client. 2.) Don't trust a handyman to help you sell your home. In another situation, another client/investor had been ignoring a huge problem with horrible materials used in construction of den cabinetry.
