The Dog Park at Lake Ida in Delray Beach is the perfect place to treat your dogs.  Located just east of I-95 off Lake Ida road it offers just another amenity of Lake Ida.

Whether you live in a single family home with a yard or one of our many condos, our four legged friends want to get out to run and play with other dogs.   Daily walks on the leash are fine for getting fresh air and exercise.  But even at our beach, dogs must be leashed and must stay west of the Dunes.

Dog Park at Lake Ida in Delray Beach

The Dog Park has 2 large sections for larger dogs (30lbs+) and one for Small dogs.  There is a paved dog wash station, dog bags, and a double gated entry for safety.  There's plenty of room for dogs to run, meet their friends, and play Frisbee.

And, there's covered areas and benches for the dogs' owners.  The lake is usually busy with bass boats, jet skis and water skiers.  There are also shaded areas for family picnics.

Kathy - this sounds like a great park for owners to enjoy with their dogs.  There is a great new dog park in our area and it is amazing to see how many people really do enjoy these parks.

Good morning Kathy-so that's the name of that mystery lake I pass on 95 on the way to my folks in Jensen Beach! It always looks so inviting and I want to check it out and then forget:) I think Peanutman would LOVE a day up there soon. Thanks for the post! What exit do you get off of coming from the south?

Kathy - most people don't know this but dog parks aren't just great for exercising their dogs, but it simulations all their senses and engages their minds - that's why they usually sleep really good when they get home!

My nana's name was Ida, so you had me at "Lake Ida"!  Dog parks are a great resource...I visited our local park yesterday with Zack and walked by the dog park so he could watch the doggies.

Barbara- I was surprised too.  I'm glad that people are using it.

Gita- I love seeing the dogs out and running and just playing with other dogs.

Michael- Good Photog opportunities for Radnor Lake Photography!

Cheryl- absolutely!  We went, dogless, and had fun just watching them.

John- go for it... I'll keep my eyes open for it.

Barbara- bring Rocky down here!  And when you do, have him bring his various "outfits".. how about a surfer shirt?

Marco- Oh yes... I forgot you can see it from I-95.  I'll email you directions.  And, don't forget there's Lake Osbourne just a little further north.

Kristine- Just like wee ones, right.  Wear them out at the park, exercise their social skills!

Sharon- Maybe the lake was named after her!!! Did you get picks of Zack at the dog park??

Kathy, Ah, the dog parks are a great place to get your dog out and have him socialize with the other dogs in the area.  Great info.

Sandy- we are without a dog now but I love just going by to see how happy the dogs are.

Gloria- you brought up a good point.  Think how moms can meet other moms through taking their children to the park!

Sharon- What a happy smile!! congrats on #3!

John- Delray has really done a good job out at Lake Ida.  Besides the dog park, they've expanded the picnic and 'beach" area along the lake.
