Meet the New Generation of Feng Shui Consultants by Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Manhattan
Feng Shui dates back about 3,000-6,000 years ago and was traditionally taught behind closed doors to honor the secrete teachings passed down from teacher to student.
Since being introduced to the Western Society, Feng Shui has become a Market for business. This is just fine, but remember the history of Feng Shui and what the true meaning of this practice stands for. A new generation of Feng Shui consultants is now emerging and are seen as replacing the "stereotypical ancient old Chinese masters costumes poring over thick, ancient almanacs and huge compasses".
Word of advice from one of the youngest Feng Shui New York consultants Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Li and Feng Shui Manhattan. It would be wise to honor the "old Chinese Masters" and their customs because they are the ones who passed on these teachings that have inspired you to pursue becoming a Feng Shui consultant.
Just because you are of the "new generation" does not mean you replace the "ancient teachings". You blend the presence with the past.
Are there easier ways of doing Feng shui? Yes! If your clients or students can not understand the Compass Method for example, then simplify what you teach as a Feng Shui consultant. Be practical and functional with your teachings and suggestions. Laura has been teaching Feng Shui and preforming space clearings for over 12 years. She started her studies with her mother Carole Provenzale at age 12 and was certified from the Proven Feng Shui School on Long Island. By age 21 Laura established Feng Shui Manahattan.
