MLB's Trading Deadline Looms !!!

By
Real Estate Agent with KW Elite

Living in Phillies territory these last couple of years(2007-2011) has been exciting each July 31rst.  That date is MLB's trade deadline and most contending teams are shopping for upgrades right to the midnite hour ! This year's top trade prospect now appears to be Carlos Beltran of the Mets who is having an allstar year. Several teams(including the Fightins) are in the running for Beltran. Other missing pieces teams are looking for includes pitching, both starting and relief ! The Padres Heath Bell is the reliever who could close for most teams.

Each team in the league must take a sober look at it's team's chances and decide to fold and liquidate valuable players whose contracts are expiring or upgrade and go for it . A number of teams have done really well in recent years in dumping vet players for several minor league prospects ! I'm sure Cliff Lee is resting easier this season as he has been traded the past two years in a row in July ! *L*

Mike,

Glad to hear others are going paperless. Our office at Area Pro Realty - Southern PA has been using DocuSign and SkySlope since we opened. These tools make our client's life much easier and far less stressful. Added advantage, our transaction coordiantor can easily keep track of all files and documents. BTW- our coordinator is located 1300 miles from our York,PA location in Tyler,Texas! Great news.

Well, what a great move for the Phillies!  They are 4-0 since picking up Hunter Pence, who is a huge spark plug for them.  He may not be smooth at anything he does, but he still does it all well !  Howard and Raul have found their strokes in the past week and the entire team seems to be playing like we all knew they could.  It sounded strange to say that they weren't playing (hitting) well, even though they had the best record in baseball.  Now they are!  30 more wins to win 100 with 53 more games to go (in the regular season).  Everybody hits, wooo hooo!  (spoke in loud voice like the guy that used to sit by the microphone behind home plate)

My Giants will probably see your Phillies for the NL playoffs.  Losing Buster Posey for the entire season hurt us.  Beltran may help with offense, but Posey was great behind the plate defensively, also.
