It doesn’t seem possible that twenty-five years have gone by.

Today my wife and I and the rest of the family took my youngest son Brando out to celebrate his 25th birthday.  It doesn’t seem possible that twenty-five years have gone by since I first held him.  But it has and he is no longer a child but grown into a man.

It seems like yesterday that I watched him take his first steps, ride his first bicycle, shoot his first basketball, and throw his first baseball.  I enjoyed those years at baseball, basketball, and soccer games, and OH yes I cannot forget the countless hours of sitting in gyms at wrestling tournaments.  But the games are over now and he is on a new journey in life.

I know I prepared him well for all the sports that he played, I just hope that I did an equally good job on preparing him for the decisions that he will need to make as he goes through life, and raises his own family.  Life is funny, in a blink of an eye twenty-five years have gone bye.

It doesn’t seem possible that twenty-five years have gone by.

George - Happy Birthday to your son and while I can't relate to watching a child grow up (I'm not a parent) but I can understand your being proud of the person he's become.  Hope you and your family had a wonderful celebration.  :)

George - You are one of the few people I've seen in person on AR and you can't tell me you're in your 50's.  You must have married young!  A child groom, perhaps???  25 is one of those milestones.  You have to start seeing him as another adult.  That's a transition.

George What a nice testimonial. Yeah, it's hard to believe how fast the time goes by. Just wait for the next steps.
