My background is in customer service and property management it's the stories like this that can be proof in the pudding.

I was first introduced to Activerain in October 2008 through two bloggers in my office. Unfortunately like so many here, I didn't write my first blog until August 2009.
I was told blogging would bring me business. I really didn't understand what that meant. I certainly didn't know anything about SEO or Google rankings. All I knew was I wanted to get some business so I started writing.
That first blog was a painful experience. It had no personality at all. I
simply restated the facts surrounding the opening of the Longview Recreation Center in Spring Hill TN.
Since that time, I've written 305 blog posts covering a variety of topics from personal to market reports and had 16 featured posts. In comparison to some that may be a small number but it's a number I'm very proud of. It is validation that someone besides me thinks I have something of value to say.
Then last week, I received a call from Nancy Mueller. She writes a newspaper column for the Williamson County Real Estate section of The Tennessean. She had read one of my market reports posted on Activerain for Sullivan Farms in Franklin TN. Nancy was very intrigued by the fact that Sullivan Farms is experiencing a sellers' market and had a few questions.
We had a very productive discussion about the state of the Franklin TN real estate market. She asked if she could use some of the material from my blog in an article that she was writing. I willingly agreed.
The result of that interview was printed in The Tennessean on 7/22/11, Home Sellers Finally Get the Upper Hand.
When I began this journey, little did I know that one day someone would think that what I had to say was newsworthy. I've come a long way since that first blog. From the very beginning, my goal was to educate buyers and sellers about the process of buying and selling homes. Activerain has provided me with a wonderful venue to do that.
Blogging has become an important part of my business--it's a marketing tool, a lead generation tool, a listing tool, and even a creative writing tool. I've gotten so much more from this experience than I expected.
