As an adolescent in Russia, I attended community school in the fields of music and fine arts. After graduating from this institution, I pursued further education and earned a Master of Arts degree in music and teaching thereof.
My passion for these two fields continues. As years go by, I love opening people to self expression by teaching them to play piano and to draw and paint.
That is why I provide art classes every other Saturday for anyone who is interested. Using the elements of drawing and painting we create beautiful and exciting things-some from imagination, some from nature. I teach students basic drawing skills, including breaking down forms into simple parts, measuring, perspective, foreground/background relationships. Students work with a variety of media, including watercolor, ink, tempera, acrylic, pastels, colored pencils.
Right now, until July 31, you can see art work, created by children at Little Beethovens South Windsor piano studio on display at the public library.
Please feel free to visit our exibit. I am very proud of all my students. They are amazing and talented kids. I hope you will enjoy their work as much as I do.
Sincerely, Tatyana Makarova.
