Motivational Monday | Good Things Come In 3's!
I've been recycling for a while now and I get upset when I go to someone else's home and they don't recycle. I bite my tongue most of the time, but sometimes I just have to say what's on my mind....RECYCLE!!! It's SO EASY, too!!!
The Village of Pinehurst made it so easy to recycle household items a few years ago when they stopped requiring the items to be seperated. ALL recyclable items can go into one container...no seperating paper...no seperating glass...no seperating aluminum, etc. etc. etc.
NOW, the Village of Pinehurst has made it even EASIER!!! We received our Recycle Container (Item #1) today which will be picked up weekly by an automated truck...just like the same trucks that currently pickup our trash/non-recyclables. Before, we received this container, all residents had to provide their own container, which could be just about anything. Now, all residents have this Green Recycle Bin with wheels! Easy...Peesy!
I also received my NEW E-Composter (Item #2) today!!! YAHOO!!! I've been composting for about a year now in make-shift containers that don't have proper lids...in short, it's a bit of a mess and a bit untidy looking, too. And, if you know me, I like everything to have it's proper 'place' and look good, too,....if possible! My new Compost Bin is huge and will hold a *&!#$% (120 gallons) of coffee grounds, egg shells, fruit & veggie matter, weeds, leaves & grass clippings! NOTE: My E-Composter is constructed from 90% of recycled materials! I will be placing this 'beauty' in my backyard once it stops raining (hopefully tomorrow morning).
So, the 3rd Item I received is my GORGEOUS Kitchen Compost Bin....LOVE, LOVE it! This beauty will hold all my fruit and veggie scraps in style, until it is time to go dump them in my backyard E-Composter. I also found these really cool bag liners for my Kitchen Compost Bin that are completely bio-degradable (made from corn starch)...how cool is that?!?!
I AM more MOTIVATED than ever to continue recycling and composting and I hope that if you aren't already doing your part to recycle that you will start NOW. No time like the present!!!
