The woman that helped raise me...

I was invited here by a very nice comment on my page, Active rain is such a great support system I did not have a clue how powerful this site it...,  could you please Pray for my Friend Carol..

 Friday we went to the doctor with the most wonderful woman, she is 54 years old and was there for me so very much growing up and i appreciate her dearly.... My mother worked full time + and Carol was my disciplinary, she was my best friends mom and took me on as a second child ..... I will never forget all she did for me....The doctor told us that her small cell lung cancer was terminal and she had less than one year to live....  WOW  how do you swallow that..  we cried of course and we held her and now we are just Numb to the news...  I am determined to make her smile, she was instructed to make a list of all the things she wanted to do before she passes.....  Knowing we did not have alot of money to spend......On her list she had many things, visit Sea world, go see her daughter's new home in Florida, a massage,  shopping spree, trip to Branson,  several other things, these are things she talked about for a long time...  SO what i have done is set up a massage , hired a makeup artist to teach her how to put on fake eyelashes and do her makeup ( the kemo took all of her hair and lashes) then to lunch and a new outfit to talk her home in....  I realize  that these are material things, I just feel I cant do enough, I cannot imagine how I would react having that news .... we are looking into Manateck and other self help options, but they are very costly....Please pray for her , I believe!   I will foward your prayers to her on Wenesday.Thank you   Kristie
