Using HTML5 To Build A Website

Building your own website is so much easier than it looks. I've built a few and I have no knowledge of coding or programming. I have recently stumbled upon a new program developed for Apple called Hype. Hype is a simple drag and drop program that uses HTML5. I didn't know anything about HTML5 before I tried this program.

Hype only costs $30, so it was way to good to pass up. So far, it has completely changed the way I think about websites. It uses HTML5, which has been around for a while but is starting to get noticed a lot more lately. Here's a quick YouTube video showing you how easy and stunning Hype is:

Here are some cool things about HTML5:

  1. It allows you to build great animated websites without Adobe Flash.
  2. The animations load much faster than Adobe Flash
  3. Changes websites from a Template based look and fell, to more of a Keynote Presentation with animated changes between each page.
  4. Makes building an animated page so much easier!

I built a quick lead in page for my website using Hype. I have not loaded it on my hosting server yet, so it loads a little slow. Hype will load your designs onto Dropbox (Here's Their Site) and let you have a free hosted site, which helps with design, but it loads kind of slow.

Here's the page that I built in about 1 hour: MY WEBSITE

The Buyer's side of my website is all done through Market Leader's Vision. The Seller's side was created on IWeb. I am just starting to recreate that into an HTML animated page. I'll load it on here when I'm done.

The options in HTML5 have caused me to stay up late at night wondering how I could develop something new that would really catch people's attention. The possibilities seem limitless.

If you have used HTML5, or if you know more about it, please let me know your thoughts on it?
