Anita, This is so amazing to us that there are only 5 homes in all of Houston County with basements.  Having a bonus room though above the garage is certainly a plus.  Buyers here on Long Island usually want basements and they want them to be finished also!

They are so rare here Rob that it's a good niche for those who must have one.

They are very popular elsewhere Gita and are often asked for when folks move here from areas where they are common.

I know, seems odd when your area probably has many, many properties with basements.  Almost an afterthought for some places.

Good post.  Many of the buyers moving from the north like their basements. It is certainly a good time for a home purchase while the prices are very attractive and the mortgage interest rates are very low.

Anita, it is amazing when seeing homes in other parts of the country, and don't have basements.    Here in Denver, if you DON'T have a basement, it may not sell.     Great idea to let the public know where they can find homes with basements!

What a great feature to highlight, Anita, I'm sure that those buyers out there looking for homes with basements in Houston County GA, will snap these up!  Many homes in the Lower Mainland of BC have basements - that's where we have the "in law" suites - so it's very interesting to hear about what is unique and sought-after in other locales!
