A Picture (Literally) Of Patience and Gracefulness

By
Industry Observer

In the midst of visiting with friends during a recent luncheon, one woman looked out the window and noticed this graceful presence on the beach below.  As we hurried out on the deck to get a better look, I ran first to grab my camera...

What a perfect visual reminder that patience is important, and that the beauty of graceful balance is a mesmerizing sight.

He finally did fly a bit further away - probably all of our excited chatter from the deck was spoiling his nice, peaceful visit to the beach!

But I have this photo to remind me - just for those occasions when I need a little reminder about patience and balance...

Hi Nancy, The creatures in nature unlike man seem to know patience and balance as if it is the default. Man would be better served if we made it our default behavior. It might be a difficult lesson but certainly worth making as a priority. Nice capture and great observation on your part.

William - that is so very true and I think it is why I often find nature to be a source of calming, centering, soothing moments.  Sometimes much needed in the hustle bustle of this human world!

I don't know why it is, but I appreciate seeing these types of beings in their wild habitat so much more now, than I did a couple of decades ago.  They are like visits from a land of the enchanted!  Nice picture, Nancy!

Hi Myrl - and I know what you mean.  These little surprise pleasures from nature do seem to mean more these days - or maybe I have finally learned to fully appreciate them.

Wow that's close Ted - I was further away from this guy than it looks as I did zoom in on him a bit...

Thanks Debra - I wish I was a good enough photographer to really capture moments like this - but I will keep practicing!
