What Does the Graphic Say?

By

Just about every day I enter the world of AR to read, make comments on blogs and of course to collect points so that I can maintain my rating.  Each time I comment on the blog I am invited to participate in the "What does the graphic say?", before I can publish my comment.  How often has anyone sat and looked at these words and scratched their head and said "what in the bleep is a "zambo".  You got me?  So I started to write some of these insane words down simply for entertainment and to put some meaning to them.  Here we go:

1.  Zambo -  A sub species of the better known Zebra

2.  Lime - Yeah that threw me too, normally they don't use common words.  This was very puzzling.

3.  Monhaw - Greeting in a foreign language, possibly Cantonese.

4.  Eggfruit -  This one just threw me on the floor.  When I first read it I could not stop giggling.  Is it having the same effect for anyone else, or am I just weird?  On second thought don't answer that.  I am thinking egg fruit may be some kind of new Easter candy.  By the way Easter was a Pagan fertility goddess, has nothing to do with Jesus.

5.  Soncoy -  Sounds like some kind of condiment, can you pass me the Soncoy?

6.  Salsify -  Instead of liquify we want it to salsify it?

7.  Rukam -  Male version of a ramakin.

I know too silly, but hopefully someone got a giggle.  It has been a long day and thought I would end it on a lighter note.  Thanks All!

Haha yes, some of the strange words are actual items, but sometimes I think the system scramble words from a database to come up with the words. Anyone else have insight? I must say Nicole you are quite creative though. :)

Yeah. If they don't have a special dictionary for these words, maybe you can write one for them.

Thanks for the laugh.

They are funny...although sometimes I am challenged to type in the correct spelling on many of these unfamiliar words...then I get to make funny faces when I transpose letters and misspell them!   : )

Haha, very funny post.  I think it should have a definition next to the word.  It would be very educational :)

So my graphic for this comment is mamoncillo--some form of mammal playing a cello. Who knows but yeah I get a giggle out of them too.  The one that really gets me is dangleberry --here we use dingleberry a lot and I won't go into what it means.

kiwifruit... I hope this is pretty self explanatory. Good Post Nicole.  Finally wikipedia's creators have a reason for its existence!

Good Post.  Sometimes I am challenged just typing those crazy words.

I cut and pasted several of the "graphic" words at one time and them googled them.  At the time, most were of some sort of plant or another.

Right now, my graphic is chupa-chupa.

It's a lollipop.

It's a flower.

It's a tropical fruit.

Funny Nicole!!  I've done this very thing before and seen it from other members of AR!  Glad to know you're normal...or at least we all are!  ha!
