Ten Commandments of GREAT Business

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with SendOutCards

We use this as a philosophy at our organization.  For our Realtor and Borrower clients we uphold the exact same values.  I feel that this is incredible enough to share because I am also a customer in many situations.

Ten Commandments of Great Business

1.         A CUSTOMER is the most important person in ANY business;

2.         A CUSTOMER is not dependent on us-- we are dependent on him;

3.         A CUSTOMER is not an interruption of our work-- he is the purpose of it;

4.         A CUSTOMER does us a favor when he calls-- we are not doing him a favor by serving him;

5.         A CUSTOMER is part of our business-- not an outsider;

6.         A CUSTOMER is not a cold statistic-- he is a flesh-and-blood human being with feelings and emotions like our own;

7.         A CUSTOMER is not someone to argue or match wits with;

8.         A CUSTOMER is a person who brings us his wants-- it is our job to fill those wants;

9.         A CUSTOMER is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can give him;

10.       A CUSTOMER is the life-blood of THIS and every other business.

I agree with everything that is on the list. Great list by the way. Customers can be pushy sometimes and feel that since they are giving me business,they should give me a headache,migrane or even worse---( please don't ask me what I mean by even worse---fill in the blanks, ) with it. Great post.

The first rule of service is The Customer is Always Right. The second rule is when in doubt, re-read rule #1.

Diego:  Great post and if we follow these rules, we can't help but be successful.  It's not about how many mail outs we do, how many cold calls we make, etc. etc., it's all about customer service.  Do that right and everything else will fall into place.
