Twitterize

Services for Real Estate Pros

Twitter is rapidly growing in importance for online branding and engagement. What started as an experiment by some ex-Googlers and a visionary , has become a mainstream marketing tool, embraced by Fortune 500 companies, startups, and millions of individual users.

Tools like HootSuite, TweetDeck, CoTweet, and others are allowing everyone to engage online and Twitter’s long-term value as a source of valuable business intelligence is becoming a significant piece of everyone’s marketing strategy.

There is also a fun side to Twitter that goes beyond the ability to micro-blog at-will. One of the tools that I played with was at: http://visual.ly/ and it was their Twitterize tool.

Like an avatar in online gaming or Second Life, it creates a profile of you based on your Twitter usage and stats.

While fun, applications like this also further cement the value of Twitter as they attract and retain more users from all levels, making Twitter yet another avenue for people and business to travel on.

By the way, here’s my profile based on my Tweets. Since I spend my time doing social media for others my follower count is low so I should probably spend some more me-time if I want to escape "tenderfoot" status!

Try it out for yourself and see what you look like. Twitter can be both useful and fun!

I don't tweet, so I guess I don't exist...............the only things I post there are NPR stories.........so where in Germany did you live, for how long and in what years??? Now you have me curious.

And what do you do in ActiveRain? When did you come on board?

Hello Barbara-Jo,

You DO exist - Twitter is not the deal breaker between existing and not-existing! :)

I was a civil service brat - my dad worked for the air force and we lived near Hahn AFB which is in the Hunsruck region of Germany. I'd say it was about 1.5 hours from Wiesbaden. That was from '74 to '80 if I recall correctly. It was a great experience!

@Barbara-Jo I started in July with ActiveRain. I'm responsible for advertising sales and operations. It's a great company and I'm proud to be here!
