Markham celebrates opening indoor tennis court in Angus Glen
The Town of Markham celebrated the official opening of its first indoor tennis court on July 25, 2011. The 27,810 square foot, four-court indoor tennis facility is located next door to the Angus Glen Community Centre and Library on the north side of Major Mackenzie Drive between Kennedy Road and Warden Avenue.
The indoor tennis facility includes a fully accesseible, 4,200 square foot club house complete with a viewing gallery, change, washrooms and a reception area.
The total cost of the indoor tennis facility was approximately $4 million with funding provided by the Town of Markham as well as the provincial and federal governments.
