Foreclosures Are Selling Fast for Real Estate Recovery in San Antonio, TX

Good NewsSan Antonio’s Northwest have been making some great strides in improving the city’s over all improvement for a Recovering Real Estate market. Now, that is some GREAT News for home owners and sellers in the city’s Northwest Area. It has been very difficult for many of these home owners and sellers to compete with all those foreclosed properties on the market in that area.

Since the beginning of the summer on June 1, 2011 until today, July 28, 2011, the number of foreclosed homes that sold is 79, number of foreclosed homes still pending is 58, and the number of foreclosed homes still Active is 61. The average Days on Market for foreclosed homes sold was 66 days, and average DOM for pending foreclosed homes was 58, and finally, the average DOM for those foreclosed homes that are still active is 86 days. Bank Foreclosures

Many home buyers are looking for a great bargain when they buy a foreclosed home, and if they find a nice deal on one of these foreclosed homes, they still may need to make some cosmetic or desirable repairs to bring it up to their own standards. One resource solution to assist these buyers with making those needed and desirable repairs in the FHA 203(k), or FHA 203 streamline loan. For more information on that FHA 203 streamline loan, check out my previous post about “Resources for Buying those Ugly Houses. Then contact your local San Antonio Real Estate agentto assist you with purchasing any of those foreclosed homes still on the market in San Antonio’s Northwest Communities.

Many of our northwest home owners will be jumping for joy, as the number of foreclosed homes still available starts to decrease in San Antonio. San Antonio fared better than most cities during the real estate crises, and is certainly on the road for recovery in the local real estate market.  So why not visit my website at San Antonio Real Estate, for more information on homes available in the city’s Northwest area.

Jerry,

I think that San Antonio is one of the strongest markets in the country and with the foreclosures selling..normal sales will begin recurring hopefully the rest of the country will follow suit.

Thanks Peter and Linda. The number of foreclosures has drastically decreased over the last few months, and many home owners will be glad they won't have to continue to compete with these foreclosures.

Jerry - it is good that the foreclosures are moving - that in itself is a sign of the real estate recovery.  Your DOM stats are low, for all kinds, I think that is a very good sign, as well.  Anything under 90 days is sure a lot better than 2 years ago, right?

Yes, Virginia. Our days on market has really improved, and you are right. 90 days is a whole lot better than two years. I am just glad to see these foreclosures move in our communities.
