Southwest Riverside County Real Estate Statistics

June 2010 compared to June 2011

 

Slight dips were expected when the Federal Tax Credit for first time home buyers expired.


However, our market is still strong and we have many buyers purchasing homes in Southwest Riverside County, California!

 

I have excluded condominiums, trustee sales and have

only used single family home sales, that have been listed

and sold in the Multiple Listings Service.

 

 

June 2010 had higher prices by approximately 5% average over June 2011 prices for Southwest due to the Federal Tax Credits that were offered in 2010.

Jane ~ I can look at this a couple of different ways but I'm focusing on the fact that 360 homes sold in Riverside. People are still selling and others are still buying. (A few of those were my transactions yea!) ;-)

Good morning, Jane!  Nice stats. Those are the same results I come up with… that median prices are lower than last year. And I agree… last year’s tax credit influenced the slight rise in prices last year. I suspect the prices we’re seeing now are based on true market conditions, and not government incentives.
