Aquafest is a small fair that has taken place in the city of Lake Stevens for the last 51 years. My family and I have had the privilege of going to Aquafest every year for the past 6 years and have had some good times there. At Aquafest there are lots of rides for the kids, a parade, 3-on-3 basketball tournaments, boat racing on the lake, lots of food, booths with anything a person can think of, and music. It's a place where the Lake Stevens students get to see their friends and teachers all in one spot; because of that there's always a good atmosphere there. What I like most about it though, is the fact that all of the rides are in one area, so when my daughters go to ride them I know exactly where they are. Aquafest is a great place to spend a day with the family. I'd like to point out that although Aquafest is small it's still a fair so if you want to pay for tickets or buy food, it's a little costly, but I think it's worth it. Parking is free but finding a spot close to the fair isn't very likely so wear your walking shoes, Every year on the last day of Aquafest when it gets dark there is a firework show so if you want to pick only one day Sunday would be it. If you're thinking about moving to Lake Stevens or just moved there Aquafest is a great way to see what Lake Stevens has to offer and get to know some new people. Aquafest starts tomorrow, Friday, July 29 and ends on Sunday, July 31. Hopefully you'll be able to get down there and experience it for yourself.
