Greenville is the largest city in Pitt County, North Carolina.  The population of Greenville is over 81,000.  The city has been  emerging as one of the hubs for commerce & technology in Eastern North Carolina.  Greenville has had a long and storied history beginning with its founding in the 1700′s.  It is poised to grow into the 21st century.

The growth of Greenville looks strong going into the future.  It is home to the third largest and fastest growing university in North Carolina, East Carolina University.  The growth of East Carolina University, or ECU as it is locally known, has helped fuel the growth of the city around it.  In addition to the growth of ECU, Greenville and Pitt County have seen the growth of Pitt Community College.
