Table Rock Lake located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains is an artificial lake or reservoir impounded by Table Rock Dam constructed in 1954-1958 on the White River. There are several commercial marinas along the lake as well as private resorts and docks. Also on the lake is the Table Rock State Park located on the east side both north and south of Table Rock Dam. Downstream from the dam, the Missouri Department of Conservation operates a fish hatchery, which is used to stock trout in Lake Taneycomo. It's primary inflow is the White, James and Kings river.
Table Rock Lake Stretches over several counties including Taney and Stone and has many local towns and communities along the way. Those that enjoy water sports always find this playground perfect for wake-boarding, skiing, racing personal watercraft, tubing, and of course, endless summer days of swimming. Wtih Summer water temps in the 80's and 90's it's hard to resist on our hot summer afternoons.
Table Rock Lake is also home to fish such as record largemouth bass, delicious catfish, crappie and more. The Lake also offers ccuba divers a wonderful and amazing underwater playground. Many trails and abundant wildlife provide the nature lover endless explorations and photo opportunities. The Ozarks also offer amazing underground cave systems and many tours in the hills such as Talking Rocks Cavern and Silver Dollar City's Marvel Caves.
Table Rock State Park is a wonderful and adventurous park to stay for the day or the week! Offering camping areas that allow easy access to the lake and a marina that rents a variety of boats, Table Rock State Park is a little something for everyone. This is where many SCUBA diving excursions start and if you feel like keeping your feet on dry land check out one of the many mountain bike trails. Just coming for the day? There are shelters and picnic areas that allow great views and easy access to an afternoon of swimming. Table Rock State Park located right on the lake is the ideal place for playing and enjoying all we have to offer.
