Reblogging! - Shouldn't We All...Listen for the whisper?

Reblogger
Real Estate Broker/Owner with MoonDancer Realty, Dillsboro,NC NC# 218097

I'm reblogging it! Jon Eliason from Colorado has only been in real estate since 2008 but obviously he gets it.  Leslie shared Jon's blog with me this morning and I really love the poetry of his writing.

He is so right - the houses will talk to you if you will just open your ears and mind to hear what it has to say!  Leslie is excellent at divining what people are looking for, even if they can't verbalize it themselves...yet.

Enjoy reading Jon's blog and then tell me why you enjoyed it...then go to Jon's blog and convey "job well done".

Jon, thank you for the privilege of re-blogging and sharing your words with others.

Via Jon Eliason (The Real Choice, LLC Pagosa Springs, Colorado):

Your gut feelings come from within. Your intuition is that little voice that whispers in your ear, sometimes when you least expect it, and your thoughts are.... well, just your thoughts. I had been working with a Buyer for over 4 months and have written up offers on 3 different occassions. Then came the one home that whispered " You found me". Dozens of homes homes all across the County, racking up the miles, taking in the views, still waiting for that feeling... or whisper... I don't know about you, but when I get involved with a client, I listen to everything they say and don't say. People are as unique as the homes that they seek... yeah it rhymed... Those whispers are telling you something. If you've listened to your Buyer thoroughly, the home that matches them best will also speak to you. Just Listen! That home wants someone that makes them feel good too. Some homes won't say a word, they are quiet and like to stay to themselves. Some are loud and abrasive and will make the hair on your arms stand straight up. Then finally, the whisper... This home has been waiting for its new friends to help make memories and to enjoy each others company. Listen to the home, they do have a say... We closed on that home and I got an email from my Buyer stating that her new home was perfect and that they are finally moved in and she LOVES IT!

LISTEN!... Can't you hear it???

Mona,

When I find a post that needs to be shared, I reblog it.  I think many of the members don't understand the concept as well as they should.

Hi Julie, Thanks!  I've been waiting for inspiration for today's blog and I think it will be about reblogging.  There are more than 200,000 readers (although, I've often wondered how many are still active) and there is no way all the posts can be put in front of all the members unless we help each other out.

Mona-Your gut instinct is powerful and we should always listen to it. I like your idea of why to reblog. I have done some and think getting a great blog out there to as many people as possible is a wonderful idea. It helps many more people. There is a lot of wisdom in the rain very much worth sharing. Have a great Sunday and say hi to Leslie. Lindsey is still hanging in there. Thin but eating and drinking. Plus I give her 100cc of fluid. every other day. Other than being thin and not eating much she seems to be doing OK.

Hi Sharon, Leslie says hello back to you and glad to hear Lindsey is feeling better.  Apparently, she wasn't ready to leave you yet!

That was a great message and one that likely I would not have seen without your reblog.  I recently had a buyer purchase a house that didn't call to me for them.  I am wondering why, because like Jon I generally know from the time we hit the driveway when it's "the one"

It probably has happened to all of us that the buyer chose something not talking to us, but I don't think it happens often, Tammy.

Hi Mona,

I too would have missed this one if you hadn't reblogged Jon's post.  Thanks for noticing.

Mona: Thanks for the reblog. I enjoyed Jon's post. Shoule we call Jon the House Whisperer!

I believe reblogging is appropriate when the post is well written and has universal appeal. It doesn't make much sense to rebolg a post that is great but is only pertinent in some parts of the country.  It's not about the points, it's about the information. We can't all see everything!

Hi Michael, I'm glad you noticed and now you know another fellow countryman to follow, I expect more good posts from Jon.

Hello Anne, I think any REALTOR would enjoy the handle of House Whisperer.  I think points on re-blogging is just pure gravy, the real prize is the exposure.
