Foreclosure houses for sale in Lafayette, Indiana; it was a
THREE DOG NIGHT DAY!

I wonder if the lyrics for Family of Man would have turned out differently if some of the band members of Three Dog Night were selling real esate:
This short sale home was somebody's dream;
three barking dogs nearly elicited a scream.
Foreclosures, HUD's, and REO's across the land;
We're selling distressed homes for the family of man.
Showing foreclosure properties for sale in Lafayette, Indiana can offer interesting variety in the life of a Lafayette REALTOR®
I had four showings for an investor client yesterday: 2 HUD's, 1 Freddy Mac, and a short sale; but the short sale offered a requirement for the house to be shown. Would I object to entering the apparantly vacant property and letting the owner's TWO barking and somewhat menacing dogs out back so I could conduct the showing? (on top of that my investor does NOT like dogs!!!!)
After carefully considering the question by our Keller Williams front desk for an entire nanosecond I responded, "I can do that-I have two dogs at home as well! NYET PROBLEMA!!"
As I cracked the door open a furiously barking, more than WAIST HIGH, dog pressed the door back shut and my investor retreated back stating that he could see a total of THREE dogs: it was an unexpected,
THREE DOG NIGHT DAY!!!
I composed myself and had faith in my front desk's instructions from the owner and I immediately won over the waist high and thigh high dogs. The smallest dog,(isn't it always the little dogs!!!) who was knee high, was guarding the top of the stairs of the bi-level home. He was barking menacingly; advancing toward me-then retreating.
How did I finally win over the third and unexpected dog, to finally show this distressed and urine laced property? I simply uttered those trusted words guaranteed to get any dog in America to the back door of the house:
"Do you want to go outside and go potty?"
I was their best friend for life after letting them go outside!
