My Toshiba THRIVE Tablet has ARRIVED!

Property Manager with Gibson Management Group, Ltd.

WOW!  My Thrive is MORE than I thought it would be.

FIRST * it is FAST * much faster than my iPad1 and faster than my Android Acer.

SECOND * the SCREEN is HUGE and the color is AWESOME and for someone who got rid of her iPad because of the trouble with loading her property pictures * through iTunes * I am chomping to load and organize property photos through the USB port.

THIRD * apps are EVERYWHERE.  In addition to the Android App store, Amazon has apps AND Toshiba has an AppPlace.  This will be fun.

I realize that I should have flushed out my intentions for my tablet B4 I jumped to purchase an iPad; however, I think I have found my DEVICE for MY purposes - to make property presentations and show properties via my website using my EVO HotSpot.

Toshiba has an installed presentation package so I can load a powerpoint presentation for clients that I can then e-mail to them AND I have already downloaded the useful applications I have tested on my Acer like HotPads and Drudge as well as Firefox.

So far....I am very happy with my device.

If you are looking at Best Buy or another retail outlet, they are shipping in BLACK and then the COLOR cover is an AFTER market accessory like the standard and multi-dock as well as the various cases which can be purchased through Toshiba or from Amazon.

I'm READY to start USING my Thrive, Mr. DeMille!

hmmm I may need to check this out. I think apple makes a good product (even though I only own an ipod touch) but my problem is how do you buy an apple product when it is commonly known they will improve it and your item becomes obsolete in months? To me their innovation hurts them as I will never buy an apple product for that reason alone. (the ipod was given to me as a gift its cool but was replaced a couple months after I received it, case in point)

I am also in the process of researching for tablet options besides your post is very timely. I hit "suggest" button so other Rainers can also see this option. Please post updates on this device.

Thanks so much for the post ! I have been researching a lot ! Sadly, hovering over the tablets at Staples too . I just can't decide.

I read a lot of people had problems with the thrive going to sleep and not waking up without being shut down and rebooted. Ugg!

I want a tablet for the exact reason. Presentations to sellers/ showing our website at client appointments.

Good Luck with your Thrive !

I LOVE your title - landlord whisperer ! haha! I worked in rentals for 12 years - "whisperer" - Great skill there !

All the Best!

Hi Wallace,

I'm looking forward to hearing about all the cool things you can do on this tablet versus the iPad.  Sounds good so far!

Hi Wallace - I don't yet have a tablet of any type so it is good to read reviews of non-iPad models.  Toshiba is a top-of-mind company.
