Good News! Looks like I will be on TV thanks to my blog. Real Estate Recovery.
This is such a cool story! I think my favorite part is that it's not the first time I've seen this.
As part of the staff team here at ActiveRain I am in constant contact with our community members. I am well aware that in our industry our members are constantly receiving sales calls, SPAM, and scams in general so when I get hesitation to hear about RainMaker I totally understand.
When we do get an open ear we talk about SEO, Google authority, and branding through the outside blogs. Now we can say some of our members have even been highlighted on national television thanks to their blogs. How cool is that? Although this is not too common, it's also not an isolated case.
Watching the flow of advertising and branding going the way of blogs is so cool. Inside and outside of this community aren't we all a little tired of dealing with "robots"? it's a nice change to have efficient people with personality and common interests to do business with.

Now, this was lucky. One of my customers found my blog, and she is selling her home in Yonkers. It had been on the market for a year and they decided to take a break, make some improvements and switch agents.
She had some old carpeting upstairs and the dog ripped up some of it. Well it turns out she has hardwood underneath, so we refinished the hardwood on the 2nd floor and steps - wow, what a difference.
Somehow, my very fun and bubbly customer got her home picked up by one of those big TV shows where they fix up your home and then sell it (I'm not allowed to disclose the name of the show until after it airs...but it's one you would have heard of). She is in heaven.
Somehow, this TV (which is located across the country) did an online search and came across us - not sure if it was my blog or my website. What a coincidence, we told them...we just worked on this customer's home! They were thrilled. So, I went there on Monday to take measurements for other areas of the home (and provided my 2 cents on other impprovements that could be made cost effectively). Well the contractor is the host of show (I didn't know this...LOL because if I had I would have dressed nicer). Anyway, he liked me and told me that he wants to interview me, too for part of the show!''
Sweet. So, we are filming in a week and half and hopefully it will air at some point during te 4th quarter of this year.
