My First Success with Docusign - Contract Executed

I am also on the Docusign Learning Curve and love the convenience and simplicity and speed of it. I did a transaction this week with an agent who is almost ready but not  quite ready to start. It was a logistical challenge. Kudos to agents jumping on the bandwagon! Let's give it a whirl so geographic logistics do not have us in a twirl!

Docusign is a very interesting tool. It seems so easy, yet it still confuses the not-so-tech-savvy people.  Just today, I wrote a contract and sent it to both the buyers and the seller through Docusign.  I was out showing properties all day, and I didn't want to delay sending it to the seller so I clicked the button where it doesn't send to one party until the other party signs, but I didn't have to wait for one to sign before sending it to the other.

docusignThe buyers did their part, easy peesy... the seller received the email for her part, and what did she do? She printed it out, initialed and signed each page, and emailed it back to me with each page as a separate attachment because she couldn't get her scanner to create one document.
I smiled...

I've only been using Docusign for a couple of weeks. I was reluctant with signing up because I had heard from several people that they charge you for phone calls to ask questions, and I didn't want my buyers or sellers to feel bad calling with questions.  Then I found out my office was doing a corporate account, and I get unlimited "envelopes" and can do whatever I want and call whomever I want whenever I want without extra charges.

Bottom line, I contracted a house today where I am representing both the buyer and the seller while I was out showing properties to another set of buyers. They'll be using Docusign too as she's VERY pregnant and we might execute something while she's in the labor and delivery room!
