I'm getting concerned folks. The Temecula, CA., Oakridge Homeowners Association website has been down for at least 11 days now. It is concerning me because as property owners we need to be kept 'in the loop' regularly of the plans and the details of our Association.
Last week, July 27th, 2011 at the monthly meeting the Board members told us the trails are going to be bladed soon and the contractors are going to have a fire truck following along to ensure fire safety should a rock create a spark. That's good planning for this time of the year.
In October 1993, we had a huge fire strike. In our area, the fire was caused from a county worker hitting a rock while mowing and clearing in Lake Skinner County Park. It burned over 22,000 acres. This all happened at the same time as the San Diego fires but our situation was not as big a story so there was little media coverage. We all know as rural property owners, fire safety is one of our most important issues.
Howerver, it is also important that we know what is being planned and when work will be done. The modern communication form is through either an e-mail or a website. Here's the website for our HOA. Check it out.

On my website http://www.sharonbolton.net you'll find a copy of the last meetings agenda along with my notes from the meeting.
See ya there! Sharon
