The Stager's Dance
Enter the room, take two steps, turn, and exit. Re-enter the room, take two steps, turn, and exit. Repeat as often as necessary. What am I doing?

No, no, I'm not staggering, I'm STAGING! I'm doing the Stager's Dance!
The REAs I work with are used to this by now, and can tell the client what I'm doing. They may think it's hysterical, but it works.
I'm entering the room with a buyer's eyes. What's the first impression like? What do I see? Is the room spacious? What are the features? What makes me want to buy?
Then, I re-enter, with some changes in my mind. What if the furniture was edited and re-arranged? What if the paint was different? What if the window treatments were changed?
Another entry, and I'm imagining the room in the best light possible. The architectural features are highlighted. Its square footage is maximized, with easy flow. The decor is attractive to the target buyer.
The ability to take in what's given, and visualize what could be is a gift, sharpened by training and practice. It's like a rain dance, and it works. It's what I bring to the table as a professional Home Stager.
It's just a jump to the left, then a step to the riiiiiiight! (Can you guess the song/show/movie?)
