A Stroll Through Magnolia in Seattle

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with ACCURATE REALTY GROUP

North west of downtown Seattle, just the other side of Queen Anne, you can discover the beauty and diversity of Magnolia. This Seattle neighborhood provides many homes with views of Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, Elliot Bay and Downtown Seattle.

A peninsula community, Magnolia is not far from downtown, when you want a trip to Seattle Art Museum, 5th Avenue Theater, or feel like hitting First Thursday or our downtown night life.

Although you won't see any Magnolias blooming in this Seattle neighborhood, the Madronas tree lined streets, had a long ago ship captain document it as having vast Magnolia trees, hence, the name.

Don't forget Discovery Park for hiking trails or a walk along the beach, but that walk together, is for another day...

Judi, a stroll through Magnolia in Seattle is exactly what I needed right now. It's Heavenly! What a beautiful place to call home. If I could pack my bags and move, I'd be there in a minute. That tour you just took me on was truly inspiring and very motivational too! With interest rates as low as they are, how can buyers be sitting on the fence? To think what those homes would have cost in the 1980's or 1990's compared to now - such a deal!

Wishing you the best buyes and sellers in Seattle to come your way because you know where all the great houses and locations are today AND you're the best Realtor in Seattle too!

Hi Patricia~ I'm so glad you could join me for a breath of fresh air mingled with a hint of salt. The sailing pleasure boats meandering on the water and the sound our flag makes when it flaps in the wind... The journeys we share with our friends in Active Rain bring me back day after day.

Thanks Patricia!

Hi Michael~ When I wake up in the morning, there is a haze on the water and the sky is multi shades of gray with silver and purple hues. As the summer days go on, by two o'clock the sun is shining brightly and it stays that way until about eight p.m.!

I love the days, from start to finish here in Seattle!...

Have a great evening in beautiful Nashville Michael!

Judi, I have always loved Magnolias, I cannot believe people living in Magnolia do not plant one in honour of the town...

Hi Chris~ Hmmm...Good point! Magnolia residents fight to keep the Madronas prolific, perhaps a few Magnolias planted would serve these residents well!

Best regards from Seattle,

Hi Judi, Wonderful presentation of Magnolia and the history behind the name.  My sister lived in that part of town years ago and I remember the gardens along with the views were just wonderful.  Her house was walking distance from Discovery Park.  There is a path that goes over train tracks and if you stand on the bridge during certain times of the day you can see cranes in the tree tops.  If I recall correctly that trail also takes you to the Ballard lock area.

All the best,

Gloria

Hi Gloria~

Good to see you! We love taking our Jack Russell Cooper to Discover Park and hiking the woodsy trails. Ballard Locks are amazing and definitely on my TO DO list of places I need to blog about. I've been there many times just for fun and need to get back there with my camera and do some work!

The Burke-Gilman trail is a wonderful bike ride as well, although I must admit, we have to park at the Locks and unload the bikes for me to enjoy the ride. I can't make it there from downtown and have enough energy to get any further!

Best regards from Seattle,
