What? The Post Office is paying YOU and ME to advertise?
You betcha Baby!
Many of you already know this but for those that don't, (I didn't)
The U.S Postal Service is offering a discount for using QR codes on your mail pieces
and it is in effect until August 31. It seems the Postal Service is looking to highlight the effective integration of direct mail and mobile technology. Not only a good idea, it means a savings for us!
A 3% Discount
A 3% discount goes to those that affix a QR code to their first class or standard rate mail pieces, (letters or flats) until August 31st! So for any of us doing a mass mailing, it would make sense to take advantage of this money saving promotion.
Market, Promote or Educate! (That's what we Realtors do, right?)
The QR codes need to be affixed to the piece on the inside or on the outside of it and it must be a two dimensional code. It also has to be readable by a smart phone. The codes can not be for internal tracking. But, if you are marketing, promoting or educating, this discount is for you!
The Fine Print
Just like with anything else, there are some restrictions that do apply. For example: Pieces paying non profit prices do not get the discount. You can view the regulations right here Post Office and QR Codes
Don't you just love a bargain!
Thank you Pam of Promotions-Etc. (my go to folks for all things promotional, and embroidery too!)
