Malta, NY Organizations - APPLY TODAY FOR GRANT MONEY FROM GLOBALFOUNDRIES
According to a News Release dated Monday, August 1, 2011 - Starting this week, Global Foundries is beginning to accept applications for grants to support the local Malta, NY community. According to the GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Malta Foundation charter, the Board of Directors for GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Malta Foundation can invest a portion of the income earned on contributions from GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Malta Foundation to fund organizations, programs and projects that benefits of a public nature to different groups within the Town of Malta. Groups eligible for the grants can include not-for-profit, community charitable organizations, community arts and theatre groups, community historical sites, special events, education programs, sports, and recreation activities.
The Board currently has $37,500 to distribute. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to immediately submit an application to be considered for some of those grant funds. The Board of Directors, which includes Travis Bullard, Senior Public Relations Manager at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Steve Groseclose, Director of Corporate Services at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Karen A. Heggen, First Assistant District Attorney, Office of the Saratoga County District Attorney, David R. Meager, Supervisor, Town of Malta (Retired), and Glenn Rockwood, Deputy Supervisor, Town of Malta, will make their decision on distribution of the funds based on the projects being creative, innovative, and inclusive in their scope and providing the maximum amount of benefit to the local Malta community as a whole.
