I Hate the IRS!

Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Redwood Realty License # 0225028579

I know what you're thinking....who doesn't!woman afraid

This week, I've been on the phone with the IRS discussing some issues.  It's nerve-wracking.  My heart is racing, my palms are sweaty....long and short of it, I'm in a panic....and focusing on work is almost impossible.

I email my accountant and ask for his help.

When we got together today, he reviewed my situation and told me he could help.  My blood pressure returned to normal.  He's going to help!  He deals with IRS every day.  He knows what to say, what to do.  Of course he does, that's what he does for a living.......

Then it hit me....that's what I do.  I'm the disinterested third party in a real estate transaction.  I remain calm, cool and collected when buyers and sellers are in a panic because I help people with their real estate needs every day.  I fix problems or head them off before they occur.

I feel better now.   A professional is helping me with my issues so that this professional can focus on helping people deal with their real estate issues and so on.

Nancy-I feel your pain, that's a real good comparison and how many of our clients  must feel when we are able to help.

just remember that the person at the irs is just another individual doing their job...they are not g-d.  the best thing to do is give them documentation to support your position and everything will be ok. (i am a cpa as well as a realtor..and just got thru an irs audit with flying colors)

Good luck. I got audited last year. Because I lost a couple of receipts it cost me so much money! Even though on my American Express it had Post Office 800.00 they still threw it out because the original receipt was lost. My accountant was paid 3,000.00 and it took about 8 months. Torture. Keep your receipts, even if it is documented on a charge card. I learned the hard way. I hope it all works out!

The majority of Americans hate the Tax Collectors.

But, I must obey the Words of my Lord, who said, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's".   And I will heed the words of the Apostle who said, "Obey the Governing Authorities, that it may go well with you".
