Moving can be a turbulent thing. Between your possessions, the new abode, the job thing ... change chalks up new stressors in a Life which can be pretty stressful in of itself. And to be moving right here, right now, that probably takes some balls considering the perception and the reality of the current economy.
But we are doing it and in about 30 days, Allentown will be a story and a memory. I've got plenty of both when it comes to this town.
Sometimes you wonder why certain things come into your life. I was involved in Real Estate back in 2006 when I joined Active Rain. Up until January of 2010, I was still in the Industry. When I was no longer that Fly Mortgage Guy, I kept reading and keeping up with what was going on. My particular contributions to this forum started to become nothing short of a genuine diary of my life. It wasn't a far stretch from what I had already written, sometimes interrupted by the inevitable post that showcased that I actually was relatively competent at my job.
I knew I was going to Charlotte someday. I knew I was going back to North Carolina. While Pennsylvania will always be in my blood, something about North Carolina stirred my soul. When we knew for sure we were going, we seeked out a familiar face on Active Rain to help. And By God, she did.
There have been several experiences that have been less than fruitful when dealing with current or past Active Rain Alumni. But when reaching out to Debe Maxwell, she exceeded expectations and the hype that is often associated with somebody who blogs so much and is so public.
Thank you, Debe. Thank you for making a turbulent thing that much easier to deal with. Thank you for being true to your voice here on Active Rain. And thank you for being a friend.
Active Rain has done as much for me when out of the biz as it did when I was in the biz. Which tells me, this is a consumer friendly place.
Color me a Consumer and a HUGE fan of Debe Maxwell and Active "Freaking" Rain!
