Hi everyone this is John, Bob's associate in Realestate. I wanted to say thanks alot to Bob Timm for helping me out recently. When the massive flood came here it took alot from all of us, not just our places where we lived, it took our pride in what we had and took our "comfort zone" zone away. I beleive our homes are our "comfort zone" other than doing chores, because when we are at home we are mostly enjoy ourselves by eating, watching tv, playing games and any other functions that a family does. When a family loses their home and has to move in into a new area, it takes us out of our "comfort zone." It doesn't matter where we move to whether it is a family members place, friends place or shleter it still takes from us.
We all decorate or furnish things in our own home to please ourselves and direct family, now us people that were affected by the flood have to move with family, friends or shelters. Me, my fiance and 2 dogs moved in with my fiances best friend and she only has a 1 bedroom house, so me and my fiance lived in the living room. Our clothes and personal items where stored in the living room in storage containers so the place was pretty crowded. At nite I slept on the couch and my fiance was on the rollaway. Our friend we were staying with only has 1 fridge so now we have to share the fridge too with someone else, god only knows how she felt as well, having us invade on her space and the space we had to ourselves was very small and were not used to it at all. The good thing about this place was a big yard in the back that is fenced in where the dogs could run and play and we could enjoy the weather.
So after the flooding settled down I called Bob to see how he was doing. He too was forced into someone else's living space, I am sure you all know by the blog posts. I began to tell Bob about the living situation that me and my fiance were in, and he said "John I know of a place where you can go and rent it, so hurry go check it out and let me know if you want it." So I waited for my fiance to come home from work and we went to check it out. We both thought it was awesome and told Bob we would take it. Now awesome to some people is different in living space, before the flood came we lived in a basement apartment of a house. The apartment was small and only 1 bedroom with a kitchen and living room combo. I wasn't very roomy, but it did the job at the time. The place we are at now is huge, we have a seperate living room and kitchen, a bigger bedroom, a spare bedroom, a full bath with jet tub and a mostly finished basement. My fiance and I were so excited, we went to Menards and bought a Fridge, Washer and Dryer, because they were missing from the home.
We are finally settled in and can't thank Bob "RealMan" Timm enough. Thanks x 1,000,000 bob we love it and so glad that I met you and became one of your associates, becuase if I hadn't applied for the job I would'nt be where I am today. Thanks Again Bob!!
