As I strolled through my featured listing at 1014 Cheyenne Road, Glenville NY yesterday, between visits from prospective buyers (YES! I had visits from prospective buyers!) - I was really drawn to several of the details that can get overlooked during the rush through an Open House. Details that often don't show up in the "usual" pictures we take for the MLS.
So - I grabbed my IPhone and started snapping away. Getting a "bird's eye" view of things. Here are some of the results. (Wait for the "surprise" at the end!)
(Not bad for Upstate, NY, eh?!!)
I call these the dollar flowers. Although from this pic, they kind of look more like potato chips :-)
(A differently angled shot of a skylight)
One of my favorite views in this house.
.
A view from the window seat.
The sun and the vivid blue sky, and the dark green of the trees really drew my attention today.
I love standing and just soaking up this scene in the backyard. It looks like it belongs in a storybook.
AND -
Now Here's the 'Surprise' -
There actually WAS a bird! A tiny, beautiful hummingbird visited the garage during an Open House when we opened the overhead doors. He (she?) was absolutely gorgeous! I've never seen one so up close. Tiny perfection - and oh so so so delicate. Like he was made of paper, he seemed to me! It took quite some maneuvering involving me and a lot of running around waving a bright yellow plastic shovel before I was eventually able to gently guide him in his escape back into freedom.
Moral of the story - don't just stop and smell the roses - stop and really LOOK around you - there is beauty in the intricate details of our life.
