Paying for SERP help? Watch out for swarmy spammers

By

Today on my big-boy blog I received my third comment in a week of this nature:

Redfin’s traveling addition direction. Which is fine, as I’m abiding
I’ll administer to break afloat as I accept the accomplished seven
years even after their help.

Somewhere out there, even here in the later stages of 2011, there are companies apparently promising great search engine result placement and attempting to deliver those results through comment spam.

Perhaps they don't believe blog owners have time to mark such clearly asinine comments as spam. Perhaps they don't care that we do as they quickly move on to the next bogus Yahoo address (though I'm wondering if Disqus' ability to blacklist an IP address will be more effective in this never-ending battle.)

What's certain is the folks paying for better SERP aren't going to receive it, not when the comments appear on the blog for hours at most before being dumped into the oblivion in which they belong.

If you're looking for better search engine results, there are ways to get it done. Seek them out and stop funding the scamming spammers.

What, you mean this isn't a real estate related comment?  After all it mentions "Redfin" it must have something to do with RE -- even if the writer cannot figure out how to say anything coherent.

SEO placement companies are a complete scam!  Hard to believe anyone believes their sales pitch!

Experience tells me that many of these SEO companies are pulling a fast one, which is unfortunate because as Realtors we need genuine help boosting our search results. In the end, organic SEO - actually blogging and doing what Google wants us to do - is far more effective and costs $1,000s of dollars less than hiring a so-called "specialist."
