A Good Reason To Have Insurance In Place

I stopped by my buyer clients new home this morning (they just closed) to say hello and drop paperwork off.  They were in the process of moving in and dealing with painters, and cable guys etc.  "So...did you see the hole in my ceiling", my client asked...this is what just happened on the move-in day.  Apparently one of the workers slipped off a rafter in the attic...big oops.

Anyway, this is a relatively small accident and insurance companies will not be involved, but had it been a larger accident or the guilty party is balking at correcting the damage...things could go quite differently.

That is why mortgage companies like to see the insurance paid up in advance of closing.

Oh YIKES!  I hope nobody got hurt!  My nephew was doing something in his attic a year or so ago and they ended up with a hole like this, he was not hurt  but it gave them all a scare!

Nick, So glad no one was hurt.  That is a horrific thing to happen on move-in day.
