Pay It Forward -  At the grocery store checkout

Whenever I'm checking out at the grocery store using the card swiper at Pavillions, they usually have another screen that comes out asking for a donation to a well-known charity.

I almost always decline because this type of thing seems so impersonal to me.  It just seems like it goes out into cyberspace and I don't really know what happens with the money.

Well, for some reason this time I decided to hit the "yes" button and made a small donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.

I hope my Cyber Dollars have gone to good use!

Darn Draft button!

Great advice though. Simple, clean, open to all possibilities....

Enjoy the day Ralph!

Ralph, I think yours is the shortest blog I've seen. I love the concept of Pay It Forward. I'm thinking there may be a longer post coming from you in the near future.

I am a sucker for those grocery store campaigns. Who wouldn't donate a dollar to feed hungry people?

This is a great reminder of a simple act that can help others.  I'm sure you'll have more to say about it in the future;)

I was at a store the other day where they asked if I wanted to "round up"  my bill and donate the change. I thought that was a smart way to do it.

Good for you Ralph . . . it all adds up.  I've done this a few times.  The only time I can't do it is at PetSmart -- I've taken in so many strays that I feel I've done my civic duty on that issue.  Your post is a nice reminder to us all to "round up" when we can!!
