Back-to-school shoppers in Texas get a break from state and local sales taxes on August 19, 20 and 21 for the annual Tax-Free Weekend for school supplies. Most clothing and footwear priced under $100 will be exempt from sales tax, as well as backpacks used by elementary and secondary students.
