As many realtors know, this business is not easy. I see realtors come and go all the time, most of them dont last long enough to even get the chance to look at themselves as the problem. Usually if an agent makes it past the first year making only little money they most times blame the office and try to change offices as if to make more money. When they find out that wasn't the answer they still dont look at themselves, next it is the market or leads or timing. This business sure is tough but the answer I think is always right in front of our faces. It's us, you and me. A good look at our selves in the mirror can actually get our business full steam ahead. Just do it.
We're in a tough business but, with consistency, proper systems and hardwork it can be very rewarding. Someone who isn't willing to wake up everyday motivated will never survive. I think you hit the nail on the head - it's not the leads or the company that cause low income.
Its unfortunate but true, by the time an agent realizes it was them all along. Its usually too late.
I think, too, a tough part of this business is sorting out whom to listen to, as well as not. There are so many 'experts' out there offering advice that it gets confusing and time consuming, especially for the newbie with no clue about what to do after getting their license in the mail.
A little help wouldn't hurt the greenhorns get off their behind, but in the end they have to be self-motivated.
