With this Blog Post, I should top 300,000 points.
No where near the over 700,000 pioints Al and Peggy have...but, still an accomplishment. I can clearly remember joining Active Rain in October of 2009, at the insistence of my mentors, my friends, in my heart, my extended family, Al and Peggy Cunningham ... OK, much more at the insistence of Al. For any of you who have not met Al, he, as friendly as he is, he can be a force when he is determined or focused on a goal... Peggy and I have got caught in his maelstrom over the years... All kidding aside, thank you Al and Peggy for letting me in on Active Rain.
They were so helpful to me, teaching me how to set up my profile, how to blog, encouraging me and introducing me to many of their friends, many of whom have become my friends over time.
OK, you probably recognize them more like this...
I also want to thank the staff and leadership at Active Rain. This community is a font of information for forward minded people and a venue for the sharing of information between members. When I have had an issue, AR staff have been very helpful and have resolved them. My blogging on Active Rain is most responsible for my internet presence and my consistently placing at or near the top of the many small rural communities that make up my marketplace.
But more than just a blogging platform and a good source of information, this community has been a great place to network. I have "networked" at Realtor functions and RE/MAX functions, but that is more of a trading of cards and words soon forgotten. Following the blogs of individuals on AR, you get a glimpse into the person, their passions, their dreams, their causes, and at times their frustrations... that which makes us humans.
I have had the good fortune to physically meet a few of the people I have befriended on Active Rain, and this is where the "networking" takes a quantum leap...
plus YOU!
Over time, in my travels, I hope to have the opportunity to meet many more of the people that I have been following, put a person beside the face and the stories and cementing the relationships that are at the heart of great networking.
For this, I want to thank all of you, who have shared so much of "you" with me, and taken the time to read some of my posts, and in that way, get to know a little about more about "me" and "mine" and what is important to me...
Thank you everybody for creating the atmosphere which has caused me to flourish and reach this AR milestone =)
