As many of you know, Outside Lands will be starting up again this Friday. Tons of music, tons of food, tons of people. For a lot folks living out in the "Outside Lands" of San Francisco (that's what the Sunset and Richmond were called back when the City was still a baby), the weekend can be quite a headache. The traffic, the parking, the noise. It's all fine when you're attending the festival, but when you're living your life at home, it can be a bit much.
The Ocean Beach Bulletin created an Outside Lands Survival Guide that might help you last the weekend.

An event the size of Outside Lands inevitably affects people who live near the park. Here’s a quick run-down of what neighborhood residents need to get through the weekend with minimal hassles:
- There is a community hot line open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all three days of the concert: (415) 379-9063. Any concerns relating to parking or disturbances may be reported immediately to that number.
- There will be a tow truck on both the north side and the south side of the park for quick response to parking violations and blocked driveways.
- The entire perimeter of the festival will be fenced in for the duration of the festival. Workers began installing fences Aug. 6, and the fences will be complete by Wednesday, Aug. 10.
- The area of the park near the concert will be essentially closed to cars for the duration of the festival. Many entrances to the park will be closed beginning Thursday, Aug. 11 at 8 p.m., and will re-open on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 11 p.m.
