Best Freakin' Breakfast I Ever Had......

By
Real Estate Agent with PureWest, Inc.

I had a breakfast meeting earlier this week and my client requested we eat at the Cateye Cafe in downtown Bozeman.  I had been to the Cateye for lunch but never breakfast, the menu is great so I was looking forward to a hearty meal.

On a recommendation from my co-listing agent, I ordered a breakfast item I normally would not have and it is hands down the best freakin' breakfast I ever had.

If you are ever in Bozeman, MT, go to the Cateye and have Banana Bread French Toast.....it is epic.  They take two pieces of banana bread, prepare them French toast style, drizzle what I think was a huckleberry cream sauce on it with a dollop of whipped cream, add a touch of maple syrup and prepare to skip lunch.

Seriously, I had to stop conversation to comment on the stuff.....it was that good.

It MUST have been good!

In your picture, you still have the smile of a satisfied man!

Was a fun post to read.

Thanks

Jason, Sounds great....and it's one of those "I don't want to know" moments for the calorie count :)  There really are some fantastic breakfast spots out West and have had the good fortune of eating at a few and enjoy it every time!

Jason that sounds like something great. When you say "skip lunch" I would add  "and go directly to the gym!"

Bananna bread french toast sounds like a great idea.  I bet you could make a version of it at home that would be tasty as well.

Jason, if ever there was a reason to move to Bozeman, Montana... this just might be it.  Hmmm... if I start driving right now... I wonder if I can get there by breakfast ?  Breakfast on Sunday, I guess might work.  Yum !

Chris Ann:  You better get those in-lines out of the garage, and get them ready.  This sounds like a pretty long skate... but I just know you can do it.

All of your meetings will now be conducted during the Breakfast hour at the Cateye Cafe, I bet :)  Sounds like a great place to conduct business!  (as long as you don't stop talking for too long of an interval)

Phil and Patty - that smile belongs to my dad, but he's letting me borrow it for a while.  It was, however, a very satisfying breakfast.  My wife has requested a breakfast date solely from my description of the dish.

Sally and David - there is a link to the menu in the blog, if you click on the first mention of "Cateye" it will take you there.  I asked for the recipe, they wouldn't let go of it.  I'll keep trying to wear them down.

Liz and Bill - how true that is!  I asked my trainer if it counted as a carb, he said yes, and so do bon bons.

Gina - I was skeptical at first, but after the first bite I was hooked.  Always good to try new things.

Sheila - I probably could have had lunch if I wouldn't have had a side of scrambled eggs.

Chris Ann - I am guessing you could as well.  I don't know if the recipe is as simple as you would think, but I'd bet a dollar it's floating around online somewhere.

Karen - Great news for you, they serve it all day so you can take your time getting here.  Let me know if you are coming up and I'll come join you.

David and Bonnie - yes, they will be.  I have been so focused on the food I forgot to mention we sat outside in the sunshine on a beautiful 68* morning....it just doesn't get any better.

Thanks to all of you for your comments.
