Out of 366 of the nation’s metro areas, the Queen City is ranked number 35 for personal income. Charlotte area residents earned over 69.2 billion dollars in income for 2010. That’s a 4.3 percent increase from 2009.
New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C and Houston posted the highest earnings in personal income with three Nevada areas and Grand Junction, Colorado posted the lowest.
