How is the martket in your area?

I find it interesting with all this negative news about the Real Estate market that many consumers assume that the market is bad everywhere.  In my area the market is not what it was, but it definitely not as bad as what the media says.  In fact this summer a case can be made that we were in a slight seller's market for awhile.  Of course any national statistic is about the nation as a whole.  When the national economy is bad there tend to be areas where the economy is still strong, and when the national economy is good there tend to be areas where the economy is bad.  So, I am just wondering how many agents feel they are working in an area where there market is better than the national market.

Our area is much better than the national average......we currently have 7 mos. inventory in the county and it really has not changed for the past year......of course it was better 2 years ago but it still is fine.
