Music - How to set the stage for your videos. Part 6. (Helpful Notes)
Humans are universally drawn to music. Research shows that what we feel when we hear a certain piece of music is remarkably similar to what everybody else in the room is experiencing. It literally has the ability to facilitate emotional bonding.
It's my hope that this series helps you discover how the thoughtful use of music can enhance your videos and give you the chance to connect with like-minded individuals.
One of my favorite folks in Active Rain is Richard Yates. He's friendly, a bit quirky, loves to tease, and I sense, he would give you the shirt off his back. ( Although, he's likely to turn this comment into something tawdry- especially if he wants to teach us something - oh, wait, I almost forgot, he's recently cleaned up his act.)
Behind that playful personality is a very genuine, knowledgeable and helpful professional. One who readily shares the lessons he has learned while trying to develop his own video marketing skills. Video Tips for Real Estate Agents.
Richard's videos don't requirement much of a time commitment for his potential viewers, (he's smart to keep them short), and they're entertaining - thanks to the addition of music and sound. Not all videos will be enhanced with the use of natural sound, but if they can, you should add it to the mix. It provides yet another layer to enhance the overall sensory experience. The right music with natural sound is an auditory, one-two punch.
You'll discover that Richard's two videos are quite different, and both do a good job of reflecting the lifestyle in Lake Mission Viejo. He uses voice-overs, music and natural sound in each, however do you notice that one in particular resonates more with you? If so, please leave a quick comment as it could spark some helpful dialog about video marketing.
In this first example, try to get a sense for the video's creator as you take a quick look at "Fun on the Water," in Lake Mission Viejo, California. (Try it without the sound - not as enjoyable is it?)
Richard's second video also showcases the lifestyle at Lake Mission Viejo. This time with a glimpse at "Fishing for Largemouth Bass, the hard way." Once again, try to get a sense for the video's producer. ( Try it without the sound !)
Did you enjoy Richard's videos? I know he'd appreciate it if you subscribed to his YouTube Channel. ( Be sure to watch the video featuring a fun couple who go kayaking on the lake.)
