Are you Moving or Relocating to Great Falls Montana and Looking for a Rental House?

You may be finding that the Rental market here is tight.  We have very few new housing starts right now and even fewer apartment and multi-family starts, so what is out there for Rentals is often hard to find.

As a Realtor and Licensed Property Manager, I get many calls a day about Rental Housing.  Many inquiries are in the $1000/mo range, but we are now seeing more Families moving here who are looking for a more expensive home to rent.  Something closer to their house that has yet to sell where they are moving from, or that they had to do a Short Sale on when they moved.  These folks want similar amenities to the home they are leaving.

Luckily for the people moving here, many of the home owners here who have had to relocate somewhere else have been placing their homes under Property Managment, instead of selling.  These homes are typically quite a bit nicer than what was traditionally a Rental Home in Great Falls.   Their goal is to wait out the depressed market so they will not have to take a loss on their home when we finally do sell it for them.

This has created a whole new Rental Category of homes over the $1500/mo range.  Some will be upwards of $2,500/mo.

We also have many rentals now which are rural and are setup for horses.  These are nice homes within easy commuting distance to town that let you keep your animals with you.

Many of these homes can also be purchased if you find you like living there.  Lease the home for a year, and if you would like to stay, we can make the owner an offer.
