 Board of Education & Committees
Calendar of Meetings

When my two sons were in school I made it a point of attending every Middletown Connecticut Board of Education & Committee Meetings.  I found that it was the best way to stay informed of what was going on in the district, and to have a voice before decisions were made.

I would encourage parents that still have children in school to attend all of these meetings, or better yet start attending them before you have children in school.  Not many parents attend these meeting, so those that do are able to have more of an impact then at most other City Government Meetings.

George - Now that's being an involved parent.  Schools would be better if there were more parents like you.  As you say, not many attend.  It takes so much effort to do this after a long work day, but it's important.

George -- From my experience students of involved parents were the most successful.  You've provided a valuable resource here for reference throughout the school year.

It important to parents to get involved in their children's education.  Great information to help parents be a part of the important educational decisions being made.

George, I think Gail said it best that after a long day many parents just don't make the effort, but if you are not involved you need to be willing to accept the results...it's your community don't complain about city government if you're not involved.
