Weather and Peoples Moods.

Its amazing how weather dictates peoples moods.  I'm working with a couple that are looking to buy a house.  I play hockey with the guy and know his wife from coming to the games and talking before and after games.  My girlfriend and his wife sit and talk while watching our games.  So we all on the same page.  During the game mentality time ( an hour before the game, during the game, and in the parking lot after the game) he is hard core energetic and NOTHING will take that energy away.  I took him and his wife out to look at houses last week and it was sunny out with low humidity.  Both of them were full of energy and excited.  Today we all went to look at a few houses that they were really excited to see. When I met up with them at the first house, they were both tired looking, laid back and just had no spark.  I asked of everything was all right and they both said yea and wanted to know why I asked.  I left it alone from there.  After our showing (3 houses) we went to a restuarant and talked about the houses.... They were not to intrigued at what they saw, yet when they picked them out of the ones I emailed over to them, they were fired up.  Two of the houses were amazing in what they wanted.  We had lunch, talked and went on our ways.  I went to the office and the same mentality was there.  Everyone was non energitic, boring and just plain blah.

Did I mention that today was raining and overcast all day.

The weather does have an effect on all of us... but we have to be able to work in all weather conditions.  How would you feel if you called a salesperson for something you needed on a rainy day and get a boring as hell person on the line?  That is not professionalism in my opinion.

In Oregon it rains a lot and I'm in a great mood as long as I am on the inside looking out!

Rob, I hear ya there.  But being inside all day gets to me.  Sometimes I go out just for a walk even in the rain.  But having a great mood is our job all the time regardless of weather and problem clients.  I hope your having a great year there in Oregon
